An eye-catcher: the

MIlliardary Hans Georg Näder (Otto Bock Prostheses) is looking for a buyer for his legendary yacht “Pink Gin”. The jewel with the pink sail is being offered for sale on the relevant websites for 45 million euros. Until recently, the super sailor was the pride of the entrepreneur: 54 meters long, built in 2017, made of carbon, the interior at its finest. Overall, the best and most expensive thing that sails on the world’s oceans, as it was called in the relevant celebrity press. The “Pink Gin” served Näder as an apartment, hotel, office and comforter, the dinghy (with helicopter landing pad) was only put into service last year.

Näder had produced the yacht in his own shipyard, the company “Baltic Yachts” in Finland, which belongs to his empire through “Näder Ventures Beteiligungs GmbH”. The entrepreneur from Duderstadt not only controls his parent company, the prosthesis manufacturer Otto Bock founded in 1919, but also various other more or less profitable companies, including a manufacturer of mattresses, pillows and bed linen.

But why does an enthusiastic sailor sell his best sailboat? Is the man possibly clammy? No, financial considerations did not play a role in the decision, says Hans Georg Näder, rather he is changing his course in shipbuilding. Näder is planning a new project at “Baltic Yachts”, “green and sustainable” as it is called. The eco-trend is currently generating a lot of inquiries for the shipyard.
