The building society will start to stabilize after the change in legislation in 2003, which dreamed of a state contribution from the building society. According to the Ministry of Finance, more than 700,000 new building society contracts were concluded. This is only a little more than ten years ago, but compared to 2004, when there was a dramatic decline, ie the number is not more than double.

While the number of contracts has been growing again since 2004, the average duty has not fallen since 2001. From less than 137,000 crowns, it increased to more than 300,000 crowns by last year. But last year its growth slowed. The increase in the number of people is mainly caused by clients giving money, on the contrary, it is limited only by the number of clients for whom the optimal number of people is significantly lower than average.

Although the number of new contracts grew and so did the number of people, the granted support decreased. The reason is that more contracts, not how many people open. The number of active contracts in the savings period has been declining since 2003. In this perspective, it is interesting that the cost of per share is declining since 2005.

“Gradually, the structure of the portfolio of contracts changes. It is growing according to contracts concluded after 1 January 2004, the so-called “new” contracts with a maximum support of CZK 3,000, on the total number of building savings contracts. At the end of 2008, it was 43 percent, which is about 11.9 percentage points compared to 2007, when it was 31.1 percent. With the increasing number of contracts with the state support scheme of 3,000 crowns, the share of state support provided by the participating building society is decreasing, ”says the comment of the Ministry of Finance.

The people are gradually terminating the old building savings contracts, which are gaining a claim for state support in the amount of 4,500 crowns. At the same time, my people conclude new contracts, not how many of their contracts are terminated, and do not claim the current support in the current amount of 3,000 crowns.

Despite the decrease in the volume of granted support, this is not the case in 2003, when it was reduced for new contracts.
